How to use doTERRA Slim and Sassy In Your Weight Loss Routine

Lots of people have recently expressed interest in the Slim and Sassy Metabolic Blend from doTERRA so I put this together so you know how to incorporate it into your weight loss routine.

Slim and Sassy is a combination of 5 essential oils which, when combined, may promote a healthy body that can effectively lose excess weight. This oil is safe to ingest, due to the quality and purity standards that doTERRA provides.

Emotionally Slim and Sassy is known as the ‘Oil of Inner Beauty’. In addition to supporting the physical aspects of weight loss, this blend may also be used to address the emotional patterns which underlie and contribute to one’s weight.

Essential Oil Ingredients

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a well-known spice that helps support blood sugar levels, improves circulation, inhibits the production of new fat cells and aids in digestion.

Ginger

Ginger calms nausea and upset stomach

Lemon

Lemon is great for detoxification of the body, burns fat, aids digestion

Peppermint

Peppermint improves concentration, calms the stomach, increases energy, reduces cravings

Grapefruit

Grapefruit flushes out toxins, reduces appetite, and aids your body in burning fat

So What’s The Best Way To Use It?

Internally

Drink throughout the day

Mix 2-4 drops with 16oz of water and sip throughout the day to help keep you hydrated and reduce appetite cravings.

The bottle recommends mixing 8 drops with 16 oz of water, but the taste can be strong to some people, so start small and increase as you see fit.

Remember, no more than 12 drops should be taken internally per day!

Try a Health Shot

If you’re having a strong craving for junk food, curb the craving by adding 1 – 2 drops to 1 oz of water and take as a health shot.

Speaking of health shots… I’m also a fan of turmeric health shots to help aid with weight loss!

Aromatically

Keep the bottle handy and smell it throughout the day. The smell will uplift your spirits and can be used to energize and de-stress throughout the day as needed.

Or add 5-6 drops in a diffuser and keep on your desk or in your room. A diffuser is one of the easiest ways to get the therapeutic benefits from essential oils and it helps you fight stress, fatigue, and negative feelings while you are trying to change your lifestyle.

Topically

Slim and Sassy is a great oil to use topically on all of those problem areas that we wish would go away :)

Add 1 drop of Slim and Sassy essential oil to a carrier oil (I prefer Fractionated Coconut Oil) and rub on affected areas.

Try this routine
  1. Dry Brush
  2. Jump in the shower for some hot and cold hydrotherapy
  3. Pat yourself dry and rub Slim and Sassy on areas of concern

Note: Slim and Sassy is photosensitive so avoid direct sunlight on those areas for 4 – 6 hours.
